Egypt’s Location
Egypt sits on the continent of Africa and has land borders with Israel, the Gaza Strip, Libya and Sudan. It also has maritime borders with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Greece, Jordan and Cyprus and is home to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba.
Much of Egypt is made up of arid desert land located in the Sahara Desert, except for its Mediterranean coastline.
The population of Egypt is 92 million people and it has a population density of 90 people per square kilometer.
